Anwar comes to us with over a decade of experience working as a sports physiotherapist.
He has treating both individuals and professional athletes at teams like Orlando Pirates FC, Milano United FC, and Vasco da Gama FC, Boland Rugby Union, to name a few. His experience extends further into the performing arts, having provided services for shows such as Disney on Ice, Pricilla Queen of the Desert, Chicago and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (while in Cape Town).
His special interest in sports physiotherapy has allowed him to work with clients across their careers, from the junior developmental phase to fully-fledged professionals at the senior level.
Additionally Anwar was a competitive swimmer at an elite level and involved as a strength and conditioning coach for his University swim team.
He has worked extensively with concussed clients and has become an expert in this field.
He is excellent at dry needling.
