Sessions have a strong rehabilitation focus to help clients understand how to do the postures correctly and safely for their individual body.


Another core philosophy at Balance, is to ensure a synergy between mobility, strength and stability. In many cases one or more of these components are lacking when injury sets in. Yoga works with mobility and stability. Our bodies are designed to move in all different planes of motion. Yoga is an excellent exercise form to ensure a balance within the body.

At Balance the Yoga Teachers will work closely with the Physiotherapists to know each clients individual weaknesses and stiffnesses and adapt the postures to help prevent injury and promote recovery. By just changing postures slightly, they can become more accessible for those with injuries and stiffness. Our bodies are all different and how we implement postures depends on what biomechanics we have. By having the yoga teacher and the physiotherapist work closely together we reduce the chance of repeat injuries occurring.

What to wear

You will need to bring sports clothing, ideally yoga pants and top. No shoes necessary.
